Advance Purchase Reservations
Advance Purchase reservations may be booked online at ChoiceHotels.com (recommended method) and also through third-party booking websites. Reservations booked through Advance Purchase programs must be paid for at the time of booking, and cannot be refunded, canceled, or changed once booked. Please exercise caution when booking advance purchase reservations as the hotel is not able to make exceptions to these policies

within 24 hours of booking so that we may honor your reservation.
Please note that a valid credit card is still required at Check In even if your reservation has been paid in advance.
Guests must be at least 21 years of age to check-in. Government-issued photo ID is required.
Check In / Check Out Times
Check In: 3:00 PM
Check Out: 11:00 AM
Early Check-In: We are unable to guarantee early check-ins; however, if an early check-in is requested we will do our best to accommodate. An early check-in fee of $25.00 will be added for any check-ins prior to our 3:00 PM check-in time, unless the guest is a member of Choice Privileges. Enrolling in our complimentary Choice Privileges Program will waive the $25.00 early check-in fee starting at 1:00 PM.
Late Check-In: If your reservation is guaranteed with a credit card (please note that your credit card must be able to be authorized per the Payment Policy above for your reservation to be guaranteed), we are happy to hold your room for you until 7:00 am the morning following your scheduled arrival. If you will be arriving between 2:00 am and 7:00 am, please contact the hotel to arrange for a late check-in.
Late Check Out: A check out time past 11:00 am may be available if requested with advance notice on the morning of departure. If your personal belongings are still in your room after 11:00 am and you have not arranged a late check out with the front desk in advance, you will be charged for an additional night's stay.
Cribs, Rollaway Cots, and Sleeper Sofas
Cribs may be available with advance notice at no extra charge for children up to 12 months.
Rollaway cots may be available with advance notice for $10 plus tax per night for rooms furnished with only one bed. Only one rollaway cot may be added to a room, and rollaway cots are not permitted in rooms already furnished with two beds per hotel fire code compliance.
Pullout sleeper sofas are available only in our Suites, and are included in the room rate.
Extra Person Policy
Room rates are typically based on single or double occupancy. Additional adults sharing a room will incur a charge of $10 per person, per night, plus tax if using the existing beds in a room. Rollaway cots are available with advance notice for an additional $10 per night, plus tax. The maximum number of people allowed per room is dependent on the room type booked, so please contact the hotel for more information for your individual reservation.
If you are staying with us for more than one night, we do reserve the right for our Room Attendants to be able to service the room daily to be both compliant with the State of Maine's health code and also to help maintain the good condition of our rooms. Room Attendants are typically on property from 8:30 am until 2:00 pm, so if there is a specific time within those hours you would like your room serviced, please let the front desk know. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, and the staffing shortages experienced everywhere, we occasionally may employ a "Housekeeping Upon Request" policy where housekeeping service may be limited to every third day of a guest's stay unless more frequent housekeeping is specifically requested by the guest.
Local Guest Policy
We welcome guests from all over the map, from near and far, and Maine's Capital Area is full of great, caring people who enjoy the wholesome quality of life for which the Kennebec Valley is known. There are lots of good reasons for local residents to stay in a local hotel, such as while work is being done on the home, or to enjoy a night out while the grandparents look after the kids.
But as is the case all around the country, some local residents look to party at local hotels, which can be both disruptive and disturbing to other hotel guests and also destructive to the hotel. We take the comfort of our clientele and the protection of our reputation and facilities very seriously, and our guests (from both the local area and from farther away) appreciate the peace of mind that this stance ensures.
With the above in mind, this property may not extend accommodations to guests whose primary address is within the local area without their first receiving management approval by email in advance of their day of arrival. Lost & Found
Lost & found items are typically kept at the property for no more than one month. Bedding items such as blankets and pillows are only kept on property for 3 days, and the hotel will try to contact you as soon as possible if any such items are found. Please note the hotel is not liable for lost valuables
If your item was found, we will be happy to ship it back to you for a minimum $10 shipping & handling fee. Please note that depending on the method used to ship your item, the package's size and weight, and destination, the shipping & handling fee may exceed $10.
The hotel is a non-smoking facility, including e-cigarettes and marijuana, and violation of this policy will result in minimum damage and cleaning fees of $350.
If you have a guaranteed reservation, the room will be held for you until 7:00 am the morning following your scheduled arrival. If you do not check in by that time, your reservation is considered a "no-show" and you will be charged a no-show fee of a minimum of one night's room and tax. If your reservation was subject to a minimum length of stay, you will be charged for the full minimum nights. If your reservation was booked through an advance purchase program, you will not be issued a refund.
If your arrival is going to be delayed past 7:00 am the morning following your scheduled arrival, please contact the hotel as soon as possible to avoid your reservation going in to "no-show."
Self-service parking is available at the hotel at no charge. For the safety of yourself and your vehicle, please park in marked parking spots only. Trailer and bus parking is available at the north end of the parking lot. Motorcycles must also be parked in marked spots only. During the winter season, we may have to ask you to move your vehicle to accommodate snow plowing in the parking lot.
A valid credit card for security must be provided at check-in, and the cardholder must be present with a matching government-issued photo ID unless a third-party credit card authorization has been submitted to the hotel in advance. Credit card must have cardholder name printed/embossed on its front and correspond to a registered guest. "Pre-Paid" credit cards or cash cards are not acceptable for security at check-in. An "authorization hold" will be placed on the credit card after the cancellation policy has passed for the expected amount of room and tax, 15% in case of incidental charges, and any applicable security deposits. Charges are finalized upon check out or, if your stay is more than 1 week, every 7 days. Any authorization holds beyond your final charges are released by the hotel upon check out, but may take 3 to 10 business days to be released back to your account, dependent on your bank's policies and procedures. Once your account has been authorized, neither the front desk staff nor hotel management are able to make exceptions to your bank or card issuer's policies.
As our Evergreen room amenities are designed to provide an odor- and allergen-free environment for our guests, this hotel does not allow pets, and violation of this policy will result in minimum damage fees of $100. Pets also may not be left unattended on hotel property. The hotel does comply with ADA law regarding service animals trained to accommodate physical disabilities. Heated Outdoor Pool
Our beautiful outdoor heated pool is seasonal, open typically from Memorial Day (end of May) to Columbus Day (mid-October), from 8 AM to dusk. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Absolutely no glass bottles or containers are permitted in the Pool Area.
There is NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY
. Swim at your own risk. Please be mindful of all Pool Rules posted in the pool area for the safety and enjoyment of all. An ADA Pool Lift and ramps to the pool area are available upon request. Please contact the Front Desk and one of our maintenance team will see to it that the lift and ramps are set and ready for accessible use.
Room Placement and Connecting Room Requests
Room placement requests may be dependent on the type of room booked. For example, Standard Rooms are only available on the first and second floors of the property with exterior entrances, and as such we are not able to assign a Standard Room reservation to a room with an interior entrance on the Executive Level third floor.
We have a limited number of connecting rooms available for our Executive Rooms. As with all special requests, we will do our best to accommodate connecting room requests but we cannot guarantee availability.
Room Types and ADA Accessibility
When your reservation is booked, it is booked for a specific room type. If you need to change the room type
you have booked, please contact the hotel as soon as possible. Room type changes are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.
Our property is compliant with ADA law and we have several ADA-accessible rooms available. Because of their limited availability, ADA-accessible rooms are not bookable through third-party booking agents or websites. We advise contacting the property directly if an accessible room is needed, and any of our front desk agents would be happy to assist.
Safe Deposit Boxes
We have safe deposit boxes available at the front desk to hold small valuables. The boxes are approximately 4.5" W x 4.5" H x 21.5" D, and as such can fit small items such as wallets, cell phones, cameras, etc. They are not able to accommodate laptop computers or most tablets. A $50 key deposit is required to use one of the safe deposit boxes, which will be returned to you upon the removal of your items and the return of the key to the front desk. The front desk and hotel management are not able to access the safe deposit boxes or your belongings without the key, so please keep it secure.
Tax & Tax Exemption
Hotel room rates are subject to prevailing taxes and fees per local tax requirements. Currently, sales tax for lodging in the State of Maine is 9% (subject to change without notice). These taxes may be waived if the exempt organization is paying for the room directly and if a valid Maine State Tax Exemption Certificate is provided prior to check out. If your reservation is booked and paid for through a third-party booking agent or website, the hotel may be unable to waive state taxes even with a valid tax exemption certificate.
